FishWisher here, and admittedly it has been a long time between visits. I was looking for a bit of boat discussion, but I guess I'll have to settle for politics. On my site, a couple of you old timers commented that I should come back and take part again. So... here I am. Looking forward to getting reacquainted with all you folks whose names are familiar. - Dale (FishWisher.com)

I thought about you at the Sacramento show. Wondered if you were still

Welcome back, Dale! How's the fishing been. Looking forward to some more of your stories.

The politics, now that the election's over, will dry up a bit, I'm thinking. Our main political
poster has seen fit to take a break, it seems.

The fishing days are over as I sold the boat in October of 2013. I'm 72 now and it was getting to be a lot of work. I read the old fishing reports on my site quite often and miss the time sitting in the cockpit waiting for the bite of big ol' sturgeon. But I sure don't miss all the work involved. I have a new (to me) coach and still enjoy the trips around the country.

But lately I catch myself perusing the boat ads on Craigslist. Lord help me....

Gets addicting doesn't it brother? I'm always gawking at boats and motorcycles thinking I just need "that one there!" But it's nothing that more money can't cure..,

Heh, 72 isn't too old. There are a lot of interesting deals on EBAY
also. I almost bid on a Bertram 35 the other day that had relatively
new Cummins turbo diesels in it. Coukd have won the bid for somewhere
less than $14,000. The engines alone were worth more than that. Sort
of sorry I let it go but it would have added another unneeded
complexity.

Dale, I felt the same way for a couple years, but finally bit the bullet and wrote the check for
another one. Some folks around here make very, very snide comments about those who may be
temporarily, or permanentty, boatless.
