John Quincy Adams's wife was born in England. You to missed the "elected" part. JQA was the first and so far only president "Selected" by the house. Jackson had a plurality of the EC votes and of the popular vote. Adams really just carried New York and New England but most of the mid west went for him in the house vote picking up most of Henry Clay's states. That was the corrupt bargain because Clay was brokering the SoS job that Adams ended up giving him. |

You *are* quite upset over this election. That pleases me. Heh, heh, heh. Not upset at all. Looking forward to at least several years of Trump & Company totally ****ing up the country and the lives of many of his supporters, and with the GOP in charge of the government, the blame will fall where it should. I'm old, not dependent on the government, my wife and kids are self-sufficient...I'm just along for the fun ride. When do you think the next really serious, big-time terrorist attack on this country will come? By June 2017? |

You were absent for a couple of days after the election, then posted a couple of times saying you were not going to be visiting much anymore, and now you're in full-blown nasty mode. But whatever. ![]() |
