Of course, Holland is not a huge country.

Ah, with your skills you could install a 50amp outlet in your garage and charge it in no time. The
Cypress Bend RV resort would probably let you hook up to the 50amp outlet for $5.

Getting 50a in the garage is trivial. that is where the main panel is.
The "charging" I am worried about is the hundred grand Musk charges
for the car.
The issue with stations is what to do when you are not home although I
am not that far away very often in a car.

Campgrounds?

I just looked and Tesla does have an onboard charger and it will work
on a 14-50 or a 1-15/5-20 if you have the right adapters with you.
The optional "Dual Charger" doubles the power it can take.

I didn't realize that the 'Superchargers' were free!

"The World’s Fastest Charging Station

Superchargers are free connectors that charge Model S and Model X in minutes instead of hours.
Stations are strategically placed to minimize stops during long distance travel and are conveniently
located near restaurants, shopping centers, and WiFi hot spots. Each station contains multiple
Superchargers to help you get back on the road quickly."

And they seem pretty prevalent along the interstates:

The new Tesla 3 is looking better and better!

You could get one of those "rear shelf" kits that mounts on a trailer
hitch receiver and install a couple of Honda generators on it.
Together with your power adapters you could make a *******ized hybrid
out of it. :-)

You're not the first with that idea:

No, but if you put solar cells in front of the headlights you can recharge the battery as long as
you drive with the headlights on. : )

Around the SF Bay Area are lots of charging stations. Take Visa,
MasterCard, Amex.

Aye, thus inventing perpetual motion for at least the millionth time.
:-)

Thought I was the first when I was 12 years old or so, after coupling
an electric motor to a generator so that I could use some of the
excess power - it looked good on paper.

I read that the charging rate for a Tesla S using the 240v, 50 amp
service is about 30 miles of range per hour of charging. Even with a 50
amp supply, driving over 30 miles per hour means you are losing ground. :-)

About 3/4ths of the way down the page is the 'Charging Estimator'. You're pretty close.

I think you need more than a handy 14-50r
Perhaps you could carry a charger in the trunk and put an RV plug on
it but you better have a few adapters.

Nissan's "Leaf," which lists at about $30,000, gets just over 100 miles
per charge and is opting for a larger capacity battery for the 2017
model, a change that promises about 150 miles per charge. I don't know
if that includes running the AC. I drive about that many miles per week
unless we're going somewhere out of the local area.

I doubt it includes the A/C or the lights. A typical 24,000 BTU
inverter A/C unit (roughly what a car uses) will use 2.5 KWH so it
will eat some battery. Heat will be an even bigger hit.
