Part of a good game's charm is its pace.

Watching guys standing around spitting tobacco juice and scratching
their balls does not interest me.

Probably less of that in northern Michigan than sw Florida. ?

Certainly. They have hockey here, a fist fight, occasionally
interrupted by some kind of skating game.
SW Florida has lots of baseball, mostly northern teams coming down
every winter to train where it is not snowing and a ****load of other
northerners coming to watch. A lot of times you can get a free ticket
for the farm teams, just by buying a slurpee or a hot dog at the shop
and rob. The real teams can still be seen pretty cheap most of the
time. Way less than watching them up there.

I like baseball on the radio. Nice, interesting background while
actually
doing something.

Loved listening to baseball in the summer on the radio when I was a kid.
In the early 1950s, I don't remember exactly when,
I saw my first major league baseball game *in color* at the home of a
friend whose parents had *big* money. I'm pretty sure it was a Brooklyn
Dodgers game...the Bums were my favorite team.

Seeing a baseball game is like watching grass grow. too slow. too
boring. Too many players on the field just standing around picking their
noses, spitting, and scratching their balls. Is it the ball scratching
that gets you excited?

Baseball is a game of finesse, patience, intellectuality, sportsmanship,
and more, all attributes that obviously would have no appeal to a
nekulturny asshole like you.

Intellectuality? Some of the dumbest people play that game at a high
level.

They can't possibly be as dumb as football players, who willingly risk
serious, debilitating head injuries and other crippling injuries in
every practice and game.

I think it was the relative dumbness baseballers and footballers.
You don't seem to favor the more educated footballers. Why? Isn't
the quantity of higher education the only measure you subscribe
to?

for you the typical brain-damaged footballer is a hero to you because he
was brave enough to risk his thinking ability for money.

Harry doesn't understand virtually all of the NFL players are college
graduates. Baseball rules allow recruiting straight from high school
when they are not taking illiterate kids from 3d world countries.
