I was curious about why someone would want a SA Thompson, unless it was just for the uniqueness of the design. I do wish I had bought a real one when they were around for a couple grand. They are up in the "nice new car" range now (probably more than you paid for your truck). The M1s are cheaper than a real 1921 Colt "Thompson". The last time I looked you could get an M1 for $15k and the commercial ones were more like $40-45k. That is far more return that I got from my 401k. |
