Why didn't you follow in Ali's footsteps instead of taking the coward's way out? Right...you had a choice...enlist or jail. I get it. I did exactly what the law required. I registered for the draft, I went to college, and my draft board was kept aware of my whereabouts until the draft ended. Like the majority of draft-eligible males, I never received the letter telling me to report for a pre-induction physical. Gosh, my heart was broken in that I never got a chance to meet with assholes in uniform like you and Herring. |
