Wife got five years of no extra charge synthetic oil and filter changes with her Toyota and it turns out that I got three years of the same with my Toyota. 10,000 mile intervals, though I had her car's oil changed at 5,000 and I'll do the same. Hehehehehe. I suppose that makes sense if there aren't any retailers nearby that sell what you want. |

The seller, Powersports911, just called me to let me know the price quoted by Amazon was the 'one quart' price. The listing was incorrect. As I was not ready to pay $17+ per quart, I cancelled the order. Back to the Mobil 1 for the Goose. |

The reality is modern engines will outlast the vehicle they are in most of the time, even if they are ignored. Its not the oil. Oil doesn't wear out. The additive package wears out and the oil gets dirty. Theoretically changing filters and adding supplementary additives should do the trick. I would rather just get the contaminants out of there. Additives are just ****ing on the fire |

I suppose that makes sense if there aren't any retailers nearby that sell what you want. We have become a mail order (AKA internet now) society. It is not as much the money as the convenience. Unfortunately if we do too much of that, the guy up the street goes out of business and you are forced to mail order everything. That is certainly true with electronic parts. When Radio Shack went out of business, the last of the parts places was gone around here and they sucked. |
