Meanwhile, we bought some "temporary" housing until the dust settles. Moving out of an 8K sq ft house after living there for almost 16 years was a major undertaking, especially when your wife is a pack-rat. Still finishing up. The buyer allowed us to store some things in the garage attached to the barn but we got it all out today in the rain. Selling that place was a prolonged process due to many reasons including a limited market and the complex financing the buyer had to put together. Glad it's over. Congratulations! Now share with us how you got your wife to dispose of 'stuff' that has been filling the old house. Not something you can force. It became self-evident to her after we filled two, 20 yard dumpsters, two, 15 yard dumpsters and a 10 yard dumpster. 80 percent of the junk was her treasures. That's *after* selling or giving away rooms full of furniture and having two massive yard sales. We moved her remaining "stuff" into a 10 x 20 storage unit. I made sure that she pays the monthly storage fee, so hopefully most of that will be gone in a few months after she gets settled. My daughter was a major help in convincing her to toss stuff. My words were meaningless. |

Snowfall for tomorrow (Monday) has been "upped" in our area to 5 inches or so. Just enough to make life miserable when trying to do anything. |

We have a 20x20 "storage area" in the basement that is so filled with stuff that will never be used that you literally cannot get into the room. When I mention the word "dumpster," I get a dirty look. :( |

It was quite the surprise. Today, it is just very windy, cold, et cetera, and partly overcast. The wind is howling at the moment. I am *so* tired of this ****ty weather. |

To even put this place on the market we'd have to get rid of a hell of a lot of it. -- Ban liars, tax cheats, juvenile name-callers, and narcissists...not guns! |

It either has some sentimental value that I can't fathom or it was a gift from someone ... usually long deceased ... that they just can't come to grips to get rid of. |
