I got my Prelude used for 14k, 14 years ago and I think I have my money's worth out of it. I am not sure why I would get rid of it. I used to be hung up on flashy cars but now I realize it is just a piece of metal that gets me from here to there. It is not a measure of my self worth. I am far more interested in low maintenance than high prestige. That is why I would never own a BMW. |

Mine was a luxury version of the 911 Porsche produces for racing. It had all the leather and wood trim that the full bore racing version does not have in order to further reduce weight. |

Hey, I was able to easily squeeze into the old 70's era Lotus Europa, but it took about 20 minutes of contortions to do so. In the late 60's as a 2LT in Germany, I had a 59' Karmann Ghia which I pretended was my Porsche. Lots of leg room in that thing. I once had to pick up a drunk about 60 miles from our post at about 2 am. I went to the barracks and got someone to ride with me and off we went in the Karmann Ghia. Picked the guy up from the German police station. Big guy, almost as tall as me and very stocky. Made him ride in the back all the way home. Your 911 turbo was (is) a great car, but it not just a trimmed out race version. A GT3 or RS has many different parts like brakes and suspension, along with much stiffer spring rates and a lower ride height. The engines are tweaked, and the RS even has polycarbonate windows to save weight. It's more appropriate to think that they took your car, stripped out all the street stuff, installed a bunch of race parts, and turned it into a barely street-legal race car. Most folks say the GT3 isn't any fun as a daily driver on the streets. |

It goes where you point it and your ass is 6" off the ground. |

Picked the guy up from the German police station. Big guy, almost as tall as me and very stocky. Made him ride in the back all the way home.
