He died on February 24th, 2006 though ... not 2016. Must be. I *was* on facebook trying to get the answer to a weather question. Must've read it there. I have done dumber things, but not much. Here's the question: When a temperature forecast is given on The Weather Channel, https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/USVA0723:1:US for a given day, like Tuesday, Mar 1, the high/low is shown as 63/49. Now, is the 49 the low of Tuesday morning, or Wednesday morning. Different weather channels do it differently. If I'm a golfer worried about the cold, as a couple of my friends are, then I want to know the temperature in the morning of the day I'm playing golf. -- How many lessons did your mama have to give you before you learned to tie your shoes? |

He sort of reminds me of YKW and I certainly wouldn't want him running the country. There are no good candidates on either side as far as I can see. It's a real quandry and does not bode well for the future of democracy in this country. |

Going back to John's question, it seems to me that a forecast for Tuesday, March 1st would mean the 24 hours immediately following midnight on Monday, Feb 29th to midnight on Tuesday, March 1st. That's what it seems it *should* be. But I've had the other told to me also, when I've asked the station directly. -- Ban liars, tax cheats, idiots, audiophools, and narcissists...not guns! |
