My trusty hardware store yardstick says we got 17" of snow in the
backyard, without counting any drifts. Just put out some more seed on
flattened cardboard boxes for the birds, who have a rough time of it
when it snows.

Plow guy supposed to be here around noon-ish. :)

Are you sure you're qualified to operate such a complex measuring

Ah...the trusty wooden yard stick...you just don't see them up here anymore..
I do have a metal, meter long ruler though.
So far we only have an inch or two of snow....just a light dusting.
I got a kick off CNN coverage from Virginia last night. All I saw was half of 3/4 ton pickups plowing the streets. We use those for driveways or smaller parking lots.

When we moved here, ****s for brains, we were the first occupied house on
the little street, and the only part of the road leading to the state road
was our driveway and several hundred feet of gravel road that led to a
large traffic circle, unpaved. It was all our driveway for months.

Don't forget his description of his modest colonial as a "Gentlemans
farm" Every part of that description is a lie.

He's changed his story a lot since Google started showing the satellite view.

Ah...the trusty wooden yard stick...you just don't see them up here anymore.
I do have a metal, meter long ruler though.
So far we only have an inch or two of snow....just a light dusting.
I got a kick off CNN coverage from Virginia last night. All I saw was half of 3/4 ton pickups plowing the streets. We use those for driveways or smaller parking lots.

Would that be 3/8 ton pickups? Who makes one of those?

You should have parked it in the red barn - with the owls.

Hell yes. Shovelling that quarter mile driveway must be a bitch.

I thought it was less than 100 ft from the corner of his house to the

I thought he told us it was a quarter mile before the overhead view

Ditto with his Maryland Red Barn.

When we moved here, ****s for brains, we were the first occupied
house on
the little street, and the only part of the road leading to the
state road
was our driveway and several hundred feet of gravel road that led to a
large traffic circle, unpaved. It was all our driveway for months.

Don't you understand? The guvmint took his driveway and turned it
into a road. They needed it more than he did. And Harry really
thought the red barn was his, up until it wasn't. The owls were his
also until someone else set the record straight. He's just a victim
of others, and I'm sure that's how the sorry SOB sees things.

And that's why he has withheld taxes, I guess.

It's just about impossible to delete a Usenet post once it is "out in

not honor a message cancel request because of its potential for
