I didn't do anything like that, but I did stab my thumb below the
joint with an oyster knife around Christmas. The cut was seemed minor
but the joint is still sore and a little numb.
Good luck with that.

If I'm working, I'm bleeding. Seems like I can't do anything without hurting myself. Hope you heal quickly.

Ouch. Table saw?

3" hole saw. The pilot broke and it went for a ride.

I am not sure I would want to trade you. This is just a flesh wound,
no joints involved.

Damn, that's a difficult one to defend against. What would you do
differently next time? Did you have both hands on the drill motor?

You just said it. Keep both hands on the drill motor.

Should be more careful. Harder to heal at our advanced years.
Unfortunately will do dumb stuff. I used the power planer to grind on the
pointer finger about 6 months ago. Instead of putting the little piece in
the vise, held it in my hand. Piece went flying, and drug finger in to the
portable planer.

Small pieces are a big problem. I've had some near misses using a
router table, even when using push sticks and a fence.
