Maybe you can donate it to some children's charity down there.
Interesting that you mention that. This raffle was a charity raffle
that supports a horrible, and usually fatal, childhood disease. Last
year I donated over $5000 to them. I also donate to other charities but
it's fun to have the opportunity to win something while I do it. I have
also "won" five Ruger gun auctions that benefit the Matt Light
Foundation - look it up, they support kids. Those auctions totaled
roughly $7500. In March I will be touring the Ruger facility in NH and
also spending a day at their range with Matt Light. I also bid $7800
for two seats to Saturday Night Live. That money goes to - you guessed
it - a children's charity.

That's about $20,000 to children's charities for 2015 and roughly $5000
to other charities. I don't need you to tell me where to donate my
money or to decide how many guns I need.

Who has benefited from your contributions this year? There's still
time. Take a look at charitybuzz.com You might even find something you
can afford.

Peace

Most likely Don won't acknowledge that you put him in his place. But, I will.

Good job.

Are you driving or flying to NH? If driving, plan to stop by. We have a spare
bedroom.

At least he shut up. He's a strange guy.

I'll be flying. It's too far to drive and my friend from TN is meeting
me there so I'll be traveling solo. I appreciate the offer! I do want
to take the wife to DC for a vacation. She's never been there and there
is so much to see. We have a lot planned for 2016 so it might not be
next year but we'll take you and your better half out to dinner if we
can make it work!

Merry Christmas, John!

Oh, and Merry Christmas to you and yours also!

Just let me know when. I always like to take visitors to town at night for their
first visit. Most of the memorials are much more impressive under lights, and the war
memorials are especially nice at night.

Nice gun! You are welcome to join me at the range any time you are in
the area, John. Plenty of different calibers to try!

It's fun to shoot, and with the sale Dick's had on ammo over Black Friday weekend,
it's also very cheap to shoot! The grandkids put several hundred rounds through it
last time they were up here.

Watch the really cheap ammo. It makes it tough to clean the barrel.
CCI can be found for a half-penny a round more than the green box (I
forget the brand).

Thunderbolt? That stuff was so dirty that it jammed my 10-22 after
about 75 rounds and in "rock and roll" mode, that is not long.

Beautiful gun. Congratulations. Somewhat similar to mine:

Cleaning guns with the kids is almost as much fun as shooting them.

The 'them' obviously refers to the subject of the sentence, to wit: 'cleaning guns'.
It most certainly did not refer to the subject of the prepositional phrase, 'with the
kids'!

Now, all you English majors leave me alone and go fix your turkey or whatever. We're
having in-laws over for dinner. Will fix a prime rib today. Tomorrow all the kids get
here - turkey and ham.

Lighten up John. It was a joke. We get far to serious here sometimes.

You have a great holiday and enjoy your Prime Rib. (Publix had it on
sale last week 6.99) and I have a nice one in the fridge I am cooking
Sunday.

We pretty much wrapped up "Christmas" last week while the kids were
here so this is just a quiet day at home. I think we are going to the
movies. We did the chinese restaurant thing last night with our Naples
friend. (from the BB gun movie)
