One day I was in a small gift/bookstore on the main street in front of Scituate Harbor and lo and behold, there was a copy of one of Chuck's books for sale. I think it was on how to choose a powerboat. Anyway, I bought it. Still have it ... somewhere. Were it not for this current rancorous bunch you would have bought your boat salesman's line about it being your fault that your boat was slowly turning into aluminum oxide. "Not designed to be used in salt water",,,,,,,,,indeed. You are so gullible. You also bought the notion that your Rave 4 was a truck. We had to set you straight on that issue too. And your need to have a powered tongue wheel to put your tiny boat into your driveway. We had to correct you on that potentially expensive mistake too. Where was your pal while we were fixing your wrong thinking? |

Toyota says the RAV4 and my current Highlander are trucks. I'll defer to their expertise. I don't need a powered tongue dolly, I'm quite proficient at backing the rig in. Time for your daily swimming exercise in the John's bowl. |

I don't see many of W'hine's posts here because he's a sewer dweller in my usenet, but even second-hand, it's a giggle to see him offering up advice on "flaming" when he is one of the most consistent flamers here. Flame on, W'hiner. |

There's an interesting book called "Games People Play" written by Dr Eric Berne. Our friend YKW fits into one or two of Berne's categories rather neatly. Berne is widely regarded as the father of transactional analysis and the book was an eye opener for me when I read it many years ago. http://www.ericberne.com/games-people-play/kick-me/ http://www.ericberne.com/games-people-play/debtor/ |

As for his boating boasts, er, posts, there's no shortage of venues to read and post them, and without W'hine's whininess, as it were. Even one of my FB SIGs has more actual boaters than have ever been in rec.boats, and it isn't even a boating SIG. Some interesting boats there, too. |

They've always greatly outnumbered the lefties and the moderates, and always resented that no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't convert us to their false faith. from what I remember the "snarly righties" had boat discussions in here that is until some person[s] tried to pick a fight with them over politics and/or religion. And concerning some 'false faith' , the only false faith I can think of is for those who feel that the govt. must be trusted to take care of your every need...now! That's one reason, we kill and eat wild game, have well water, raise gardens, burn wood for heat and plow out our own snow. And that's just a few items.... And BTW, my farm has never received any govt subsidies, because we're not signed into any govt programs. Some people think we should sign in and take advantage of some govt checks, but when you do that you lose some money, but for the most part the ag offices cant tell you what to do. |
