He now claims that Putin, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and Iranian
Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei were "classmates" at Moscow's
Patrice Lumumba University in 1968.

No records exist of this. Putin was 16 years old at the time.

When questioned on his sources, Carson again refers to "secret"
information provided to him by government officials, including the CIA.

Carson needs to be put in a straitjacket ... quickly. Between him
and Trump, I have a feeling that when it's all over the 2016 POTUS
nomination process is going to be one of the biggest embarrassments the
GOP has ever had.

I guess it only serves to prove that in the USA, *anyone* can run for
President.

Hopefully, not as big an embarrassment as I would like Hillery to be for
the democrats. If honesty counts for anything, I think Trump is the
clear winner. The rest are just politicians saying what the surveys and
polls are telling them to say, doctored up by their organizations of
course. Who among them has a track record of accomplishments that backs
up the rhetoric being spewed?

He's been claiming that for a while. But that's only one in a series of
insane and ignorant statements from Carson. He knows nothing about
government, geopolitics, or much about anything else that might be
important for a POTUS. But, heck, he is an evangelical, and that must be
enough for his supporters.

I'm not convinced, however, that he is any worse than Trump.

And then there are the guys in the second tier, Rubio and Cruz.

Love it.

At this time in the last race Herman Cain was the front runner and
went on to win Iowa. Time will fix this. Much as I don't like it Jeb
probably will come out on top. Hard to beat that much organization and
money

I think that is true of doctors in general. They spent so much time in
medical training, interning, residency then the stresses of running a
practice that they did not have the time to learn much else.
I knew a lot of them socially when I was with my ex and they were
pretty one dimensional.
I do agree that Carson takes this to the extreme. He is certainly a
one trick pony, albeit a pretty cool trick, but there is not much call
for that in the white house.

Gosh, my first doctor in DC, a guy I met socially at a political dinner,
was actually a cardiologist, a best selling author, and the brother of
another best selling author. He was as well rounded a guy as one could
imagine. Sadly, he was killed about 35 years ago while chasing after a
home burglar.

Hardly a one dimensional guy.

My recent doctor, who just retired, raises race horses. Another one
dimensional guy, I suppose.

Ah, another doctor nut.

I recall your wife is a horse person, too. I really don't get that...I
mean, the care and feeding they require is endless, they create
mountains of poop, et cetera. I used to ride horses once in a while when
I lived out in Kansas and Missouri, but they were stable rentals, and
their care and upkeep was not my concern.
