Great Tennessee Campground
Went down for an Open Range rally to the Anchor Down RV Resort in Dandridge, TN. If
you're thinking of a trip to Gatlinburg or the Great Smokies, this is a super place to stay. Very impressive campground. Our site (and it was the cheapest. The next jump up got a beautiful fireplace. When we pulled in, there was a guy in the next site over with a 'lite' (cheap?), small towed trailer. He came over to say hello and within a minute told me about his 42' 'motor yacht' on the Tennessee River and his mountain home up in the Great Smokies. Oh well, at least he didn't brag about a non-existent gun collection and the owls in his back yard. === A mountain home up in the Great Smokies would be a great place to spend part of the summer. |

RV'ing just has no appeal to me...driving long distances on the interstates or worse roads, towing a motel room, and setting up where you are depending upon nothing more than a boat toilet, A/C that depends upon the vagaries of a campsite, loud and sometimes drunk near neighbors, little kids running amok, et cetera. |
