Default My $400.00 beater boat

Yes Wayne. The guy I took it to is a seasoned Merc Mechanic. He knows what he's doing.

When it gets back to my place I'll check the wheel bearings while getting new tires too

They used to do a lot of skiing with it and I think it's got a power prop. I'm gonna ask George( the mechanic) what he'd recommend to go a decent speed and be able to back the throttle down for a bit better economy.

It sometimes takes a little trial and error to get the right pitch.
Best to get a loaner prop if you can until it's dialed in the way you
want it. Things change of course as you load the boat up with people
and "stuff" so there is no one pitch that is right for everything.
