Where are the crackpots?
He Dozens of anti-LGBT activists protested Monday outside the home of the federal judge who jailed Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk who was held in contempt of court for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. The rally outside U.S. District Court Judge David Bunning’s home in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, was organized by the anti-abortion group Operation Save America, and protesters carried signs distributed by the conservative American View group founded by the neo-Confederate creationist Michael Peroutka. “You, sir, are the one that’s in contempt of the law,” said the Rev. Philip “Flip” Benham, head of Operation Save America and father of would-be reality TV stars David and Jason Benham. “You, sir, are the one in contempt of God’s court, you’re in contempt of the Constitution of the United States of America, of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and sir, you need to repent.” “If you don’t repent, we’re going to ask that the sheriff in Grayson County arrest you for putting this precious little girl into jail,” Benham added. “It’s wrong.” Benham and his group have called on the Rowan County sheriff to arrest the federal judge when he arrives at work Thursday. “Judge Bunning is in contempt of the Court of Almighty God and the constitutions of both Kentucky and the United States,” said Benham, who has been convicted of stalking an abortion provider, in a statement that included the name of the judge’s street. Attorneys for Davis, the 49-year-old Rowan County clerk, filed an emergency motion in federal court asking Gov. Steve Beshear to exempt her from the requirement to issue marriage licenses. Police and federal agents stood guard outside the federal judge’s suburban home as protesters drove up in a truck festooned with pro-theocracy slogans and carrying signs that warned “the wages of sin is death — remember 9/11.” “We’re out here having church in front of the judge’s home,” said Cal Zastrow, the Michigan-based co-founder of the anti-abortion group Personhood USA. The group arrived outside Bunning’s home about 2 p.m. and handed out fliers accusing the judge of committing a “grievous crime” and asking supporters to pray for him to repent. For mo http://tinyurl.com/qzumqbc "...in contempt of God's court..." I wonder when these dimwitted, super christians will start shooting gays in the name of jesus. |

Not any more nonsense than "hands up don't shoot" bull**** referencing the thug Mike Brown.. Both are an irrational belief in a fairy tale. Harry has a tough time understanding that there are people in the world who don't think like him and have beliefs that he doesn't share. In many ways he's like Donald Trump who finds disparaging descriptors for anyone who doesn't share his views. "Dimwitted" and "moronic" are examples here. I saw an interview a few weeks ago with a psychiatrist and another guy, both of whom had authored books on narcissism. They were evaluating Trump, giving detailed symptoms and descriptions of his behavior and comments, labeling him as a true narcissist. I got a kick out of it because the descriptions also fit Harry to a tee. === Trump is frequently funny however which is why he gets away with it. Harry, not so much. Narcissists are generally regarded as sociopaths and I'm not sure we need that in a president. |

But I don't think it rises to the "fairytaleness" of believing that the judge in Kentucky was "in contempt of God's court," whatever the hell that means. Those simpletons have no proof there is a god and beyond that whether she would have a court and, of course, if you claim jesus is your saviour while you are in the process of dying or before that, you are forgiven your sins...so why would god have a court? |
