I have had to actually look at the chips to find drivers but Dell has
been a bit better about it.

Oh, Dell has stopped supply replacement CDs with the OS and drivers. Now
it ships a USB recovery plug in, for which it charges $40.

Interesting but I understand it when I saw the bloated size of a W/7
system. W/XP comes on a single CD.
