In their infinite wisdom one of my friends who used my boat inadvertently turned off the breaker to my freezer and refrigerator and, unfortunately the boat sat for almost a week in 90+ degrees heat and all the bait in the freezer melted and rotted leaving me with an incredible odor upon entering my boat today. Usually keep bait in the bait freezer but that went on the fritz last week. Whats the best way to get the odor out of the freezer and fridge? My rv camper fridge (freezer) has the same problem- think it got in to the gasket. We tried..bleach (straight) 1/2 Awesome and 1/2 frebreeze, hung a charcoal freezer thing in it.. smell was gone until we turned it back on... same smell, not quite as strong.... think I will try the pure vanilla in a bowl with newspaper wads, AND put coffee grounds in the gasket!!! (or take the gasket off and get new one would be easier) |
