Default Great day on the lake!

Been on Carlyle since 7am running around and having a blast. Wind is picking up and a bit choppy, but me and my nephew are having fun.

We'll call it a day in the early afternoon, because the temp is going to be hotter than the proverbial hubs, but until then we'll probably go back out in the evening for a bit.

This is fun!

Have fun, Tim.

Wife and I are headed out in the morning for a day on the water. Looking forward to floating aroung, swimming, and just generally being lazy. Cut the grass this morning, then went to my dad's to get lunch for him and do the usual stuff to keep him right, then went to my sons place to help hang a porch swing for him and his wife and my grandson. I need a day off!

Too many fun details to list, but in two days the little boat went through about 40 gal of gas and a quart of oil. The little 3.0 GM got a hard workout.

A lot of toooobing !

Tooobing does suck up some fuel, 'specially if the rider is big.

Red John a boat will suck a lot of gas when pushing it. Not only one nephew but later were joined by his brother and another friend. The little 18ft Chris craft handled well and kids were having fun taking turns riding on the bow too. Glad to have the weight up there it helped trim out without getting the porpoise effect.

Not sure when we will go back out but it'll be soon.
Btw, the 3.0 is pretty economical when you think of it. We had a lot more bang for the buck fun than buying tickets and standing in line to ride some whirly-gig at Six Flags. I'll take a boat any day!

Fantastic! I'm going flying tomorrow, but will probably not have nearly as much fun as you did on the water with your nephew.

You bet, glad to hear you're getting out on the water.

I'm going sailing on this boat tomorrow, a boat named Elvis as it
turns out. All carbon fiber and supposedly it's wicked fast:
