Default Snow melt

I was just reading an article about a 12 foot mound of snow in Boston
that as of today is still melting. At one time it was a 75 foot pile.
The mayor of Boston has announced a contest to pick the time and date
that the last of the pile disappears.

Apparently it is in a landfill because it's also covered with trash and
other debris. That didn't stop one nut who's picture appeared in the
article. He was skiing on the snow mound ... two days ago.

Default Snow melt

Saw that on CTV national news. They showed a picture of it back in February and another from today. Good Lord!
Even up here the large mound we had on a nearby military base has been gone for a month and a half. To be fsrd ours was only about 25 to 30 feet high.......yours looked more like a mountain.

During the winter of 2013/2014 we had record snowfall here in the Detroit area. It was no where near what you had out in the Boston area. Here where I live in my condo complex the last of the piled up snow from plowing our parking lot finally melted away on May 7, 2014.

It will be interesting to see just how long it is before yours is gone.

Luddite, do you still have snow piles on your property or is it all gone. Some of the pics you posted during the winter showed some huge amounts of piled up snow.

Fortunately all the piles of snow on our property are a memory. The one
in Boston was 75 feet high at one point.
