Fear not. Any severe storm with the potential to hit the island
provinces will likely be buffered by the US mainland. The US won't let
you down.

It looks like an island. Is there an umbilical cord or something tying
it to the mainland?

Floriduh and Nova Scotia are both almost surrounded by the sea. The difference is our coastline is much more diverse and interesting.

FlaJim was in the "dumb boys" division in high school, and the only
geography he had was with a wood puzzle map of the United States. Then
he went into the Navy, where the thinking was done by others.

Really? Our beachy coastline has bikinis lining it.
What's more interesting than that? trees? rocks? The bay of fondue?
