Yes curling....a great new sociable hobby and if you were up here you could learn from the best.
The Men's World Championships are going on right now in the city and Canada is doing very well...one loss against about 10 wins. Quite the story on how popular this sport has become in China over 4 short years. On an elimination tournament 175 million Chinese watched on tv...that's more than the combined world viewing audience for the Stupor Bowl. Go figure! |

Well, the Canadians whomped the hell out of everyone in the Olympics, so I'd expect they'd do well now. I wonder how many TV stations there are in China. If the Chinese are forced to watch only the 'government approved' station, that may explain the popularity of curling in China. -- Guns don't cause problems. Gun owner behavior causes problems. |
