3 Ways to Stop the .223/5.56 (M855) Ammunition Ban

They make is sound like most rifle bullets will not go through both
sides of the level III-A vest..
You really need a ballistic plate to stop a rifle and even then,
not
all rifles.

Are there any handguns set up for the .223/5.56 (M855) round?

Several but this may be ugly enough to attract their attention

Only other one I can think of is a single shot Thompson Contender

I have this one with the rail on top...

I especially like that it's qualified in all combat zones! Hell, you
can take that
puppy to northern Canada and do some serious goose shooting.

Perhaps you could cut down one of your many Mosin Nagents into a
useful pistol length and use it to hunt squirrels and chipmunks for
your lovely wife to skin and cook with taters, carrots, and onions as
you travel state to state towing your RV.

Or you could buy one of these, ready made for the task, and a lot
easier for someone like you to shoot:

The original with the all-wood stock is much nicer. I'm glad I grabbed
one when they were still available new.

I like the belly rub shot at the end of the article. If I were a collector, I'd want
one. It definitely looks much nicer than the one posted by Krause.

Cool buy.
