A handgun is a firearm, and a 'firearm' includes the frame or receiver thereof. So
shipping 'parts' would be illegal if one of them was the frame or receiver.

Good idea though. Maybe 'parts' would work under UPS or Fedex rules, unless they use
the USPS definitions.

What is an "antique"?
If they are using the ATF Curio and Relic list, it is pretty much
anything more than 50 years old and that is most of the guns I have.
Your M/Ns are on the list.

ATF under Title 27, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), section 478.11.

"Antique firearm. (a) Any firearm (including any firearm with a matchlock, flintlock,
percussion cap, or similar type of ignition system) manufactured in or before 1898;
and (b) any replica of any firearm described in paragraph (a) of this definition if
such replica (1) is not designed or redesigned for using rimfire or conventional
centerfire fixed ammunition, or (2) uses rimfire or conventional centerfire fixed
ammunition which is no longer manufactured in the United States and which is not
readily available in the ordinary channels of commercial trade."

Guns don't cause problems. The behavior
of certain gun owners causes problems.
