Everybody likes "free" stuff from the government. SS and Medicare are
both in the red and bleeding profusely. Medicare has been upside down
for many years. The idea that you could put everyone into a program
that can't even support itself with every working person kicking in
and only about 16% collecting from is ludicrous.

Besides, who said Medicare deductions will stay the same?


Part of the problem is insurance itself. As long as people think
someone else is paying, there is little incentive to cut the cost of
medical care. I don't see any indication that trusting this to the US
government would do anything but make costs skyrocket. You only have
to look at DoD to see that in action.
Just fraud alone gobbles 17-18 cents of every dollar that gets spent
on medical care at Medicare.

Fraud, tax evasion, unfair business practices, scammming, etc., is what
keeps "business" running in the U.S. You didn't know that?
Democratic government is best equipped to keep fraud and costs in check.
Politicians can be controlled with the free press and the ballot.

How many people ended up going to jail after GW took office and
started prosecuting the Clinton era fraud?
How many people were prosecuted from the housing crash?

Ground zero for medicare fraud in Florida is the south east coast,
mostly Miami, solid blue territory.

The biggest gov waste and fraud programs are the vote buying perpertrated by dems.

I have seen no evidence of that. If anything the press (media in
general) is in bed with the corruption and the voters only know what
the press tells them.

The sheeple are led by gov handouts and what the liberal press chooses to tell them.
