I like the silencer on my .22LR firearms because with it on, I can shoot without earplugs or muffs and really hear the bullet hit the target, even if it is a paper target with a cardboard backing. I wouldn't consider putting silencers on all my firearms just so I wouldn't have to wear hearing protection. My range requires it. I wouldn't expect that anyone with me while shooting outside would have silencers on everything, so I'd still have my hearing protection. Much different strokes.... -- Guns don't cause problems.
