Here you were doing such a great job of stalking this guy!

BTW, I really had only two names in mind as additional trustees
besides
my wife when I set up my firearms trust. You were actually on my
short
list for a while. Sorry, Charlie.

That probably made good sense to someone.

It mainly meant you could legally borrow and use my silencer if you
wanted...

I can think of no one I want to impress by putting a silencer on a gun.

Impress? Kind of a warped idea. I like the silencer on my .22LR firearms
because with it on, I can shoot without earplugs or muffs and really
hear the bullet hit the target, even if it is a paper target with a
cardboard backing.

I'd consider a silencer for my AR .223/5.56 but the damned things are
about a grand plus the $200 stamp. That's more than the AR cost.

I wouldn't consider putting silencers on all my firearms just so I
wouldn't have to
wear hearing protection. My range requires it. I wouldn't expect that
anyone with me
while shooting outside would have silencers on everything, so I'd
still have my
hearing protection.

Much different strokes....

Yabut you can just take the batteries out of your $6,000 hearing aids.

Another reason for a silencer...a buddy has access to a legal private
range, but it is within earshot but out of legal distance from a private
school. So, when we use a silencer, no one knows we are there.

Apparently our self-appointed sheriff thinks his way is the only way...

ROFLMAO!

That was a really funny one.

But in fact, hearing damage is made worse by loud noises. Hearing aids don't act as
hearing protection.

Out of curiosity, what sort of batteries do they use, and how many days
do you get out of them? Are there rechargeable batteries for hearing aids?

Doing without is the way for me. I don't give a **** what you do. So, why the snarky
comment, Krause - or were you just trying to impress Richard?

I know. My comment was simply an attempt at a little levity.

You don't know what ROTFLMAO means, Don?

And, if you're referring to Luddite's character, it's Aunt 'Clara'. But your
confusion is understandable.

It's "Clara" and she's nobody's Aunt. Clara was the town busybody on
the old "Andy of Mayberry" series.

Well, that sure does describe our Sheriff to a T.
The newsgroup busybody.
