Any state in which grits are an automatic side for everything has got to be a great state. I discovered that I really like biscuits and gravy the way it is typically prepared down there. Never had it before. The hotel I stayed at included it in the breakfast offerings every morning. I've looked for anything similar up here in MA but haven't found it. |

Fond memories of my Mom's homemade biscuits and gravy on Sunday mornings. Really tender biscuits, and great peppery gravy. Some good sausage gravy to be had around here too. |

First time I had it right was with "your girlfriends best friend" (his cb nandle) heading down 65 to Huntsville.... He said, "it aint right if you don't have it served with a big ole slice of onion under the biscuit". I don't even like onions, but with the biscuit and gravy on top, he was right.... Only time I will eat raw onion... |
