Racism isn't unidirectional. One thing I've noticed is that the

One thing that struck me this year as we motored south through the
Carolinas, was how many times we saw white guys and black guys fishing
together in small boats. It's rare to see that in the north east or
in Florida.

The same is true of golf. When I visited my brother in Winston Salem,
we often played with blacks. Fun guys to play with. Seeing a black guy
or guys playing with whites here is very rare.

"Fun guys to play with..."

Crikey, what an asshole you are.

Have to admit. That comment cracked me up. Some people can't help
themselves, it's so ingrained.

If you're referring to my comment, I would say, "**** you, thank you",
but I'm not that kind of guy.

If you're implying that I'm some kind of ingrained racist, then, "****
you, thank you."

Perhaps you're spending too much time looking for the worst? Have you
ever played golf with a mixed foursome - and I'm not talking
male/female?

Or perhaps I simply mis-interpreted your comment - in which case I
withdraw my, "**** you, thank you."

Nope, you didn't mis-interpret my comment at all. I don't think you
even realize what you say sometimes.

Well, I sure as hell don't spend a lot of time agonizing over whether
you and Toad are going to find something racist in my comments.

Think what you will. If you seriously consider my comment, "Fun guys
to play with" a racist comment, then you've got your head buried
somewhere it shouldn't be.

It's obvious that luddite has joined the PC crowd who looks very hard for something to be offended about. That does seem to predominately be a northern thing.

I'm so thankful that, with a couple of exceptions, I work with people that are well adjusted and secure. Black, white, Indian, Ukranian, etc. The worst exception is a white female from New York then Kalifornia. Figures.

More and more it seems you've hit the nail on the head.

Sad.
