I still don't "use" my friends for my own personal folly or profit...
either way, I was one of the first targets in his selfish play and it
actyally hit me at a couple times this summer when I just didn't need it
so it caused me personal pain and anxiety... it was a harryesque thing
to do. It was also very selfish...

Did I miss something or are you suggesting that things said on a
newsgroup caused you "personal pain and anxiety". If that's what is
happening you might stop using newsgroups and build a sandbox.

I've never thought that giving consideration to other points of view is
going to the "dark" side.

There's always something to be learned ... even if it's simply what
makes people think the way they do. Often it simply confirms more
firmly what your current views are.
