One unusual experience last week was when one of our guys hooked a good sized grouper and was struggling to get the fish up. After fighting it for about 5 minutes the line suddenly went slack. When he reeled in, all that was left was a huge grouper head on the line. Apparently a large shark had taken the rest in one bite. The same thing can happen with any large fish that you have to fight for a while. |
