Perhaps you can buy yourself a pair of nuts...

Just because you are opposed to abortion doesn’t make you pro-life. Your
morality is deeply lacking if all you want is a child born but not a
child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed, not a child
clothed, not a child able to see the doctor. That’s not pro-life…that’s
pro-birth.

Good to know. I didn't try them or HD 'cause I figured they wouldn't
have them - or I'd have to buy a hundred at a time.

HD and Lowes are just the opposite. If they have the bolts you want
they only have a few and they are expensive. Locally I go to Ace
Hardware for bolts and screws. You can buy one or a big box, your
choice and they have a far better selection, including stainless and
chrome plated.
Since these stores are a franchise, YMMV
Online McMaster Carr is probably the best outfit with the biggest
selection. Some years ago when I was looking for an unusual metric
bolt, I ended up ordering them from Europe. (12mm x 200mm stainless)

We used to have Fischer's, where one of anything could be bought.
Don't have a close Ace. I weigh the difference between postage and
fuel...and the weather. Been a bit cool for motorcycles.

Fastenal is probably the best these days.

Certainly true if you want to buy a box. We also have Action Bolt
locally here.
Unfortunately in stainless metric, they are not as inclusive.
That is where I go for galvanized dock hardware tho. (1/2"x14 hot
dipped bolts etc) They beat the hell out of Home Depot on price for a
better bolt.

Boltdepot will sell one or a hundred. Their cheapest shipping cost is
about $5 or so, but the guy told me how many bolts I could add and
still be within the minimum. Very cooperative, especially since I'm
such a cheap bugger.

I'll give you that one. Even an asshole can come up with a good joke
