Why does a voting machine require "calibration"?

Depends upon what kind of voting machine it is. Certainly, the old style
electromechanical lever machines needed adjust and calibration. I hate
the new electronic machines, though. Who knows which right-wing
corporation has messed with the code.

The guy who found it yesterday was trying to vote for himself. Turns out
if you push the button on any of the republican names, the dem name
comes up, if you very carefully push the border of the button on the
lower right hand corner of the box (which took him several tries) it
will register correctly. The "official" didn't give a ****, didn't even
offer him to use another machine... Before you whine, I saw an interview
with the guy directly being questioned, that is where I got my tin hat

The problem is there is no way of knowing how many other voters used
that particular machine and how many votes were recorded erroneously.

I suppose it really doesn't matter. It's like voting in Massachusetts.
If you're not a card carrying Democrat your vote really doesn't mean

After all of the crap in the 2004 election cycle, Florida got rid of
all of the electronic machines (they had just bought to get rid of
cards) , going to a Op Scan system so there is always a paper trail.

The problem is that the democrats spend a lot of time in states years
before elections. Last election it was in particular Ohio and Penn. Ohio
with the IRS, Penn with voter fraud. And I don't care if there was no
criminal prosecution by Eric Holders Racist Dept, when you have voter
areas where 100 percent, of a 115% turnout voting for one candidate,
ballots were replaced or stuffed... it's voter fraud but you will never
get DOJ to do anything about it...

I thought I read in many locations in the 2012 election there were more votes cast than there were registered voters. It is common in Cook County for the number of votes cast to exceed the number of registered voters and the dead are allowed to cast their votes too.

Harry, why would a 'right-wing' corp. make a machine to vote dem?

With due respect, you know harry is just drooling, why bother...
lol...

Whoosh. Check out the corporate manufacturers and programming
companies
of the newfangled electronic voting machines and get back to us,
idiot.

Why does it seem that it is just the blue states that are using
these
corrupt machines?
Florida only used them in one cycle and decided a paper trail was
the
best way to go.

These issues only come up in states where the Dems can't win without
cheating... Solid blue states like mine are huge into id, and strict
registration etc...

It sounds like Maryland is running machines that Harry admits are
corrupt..
Mike Mc Carthy who owns ES&S the company that makes Maryland's voting
machines, contributed money to Hillary, Harry Reid and John Kerry.

So much for that right wing company bull****.

Harry, you are just falling for a conspiracy theory as silly as the
ones that say the holocaust was fake.

Harry has always been a paranoid psychotic.

Only when the paranoia supports his liberal agenda. Otherwise it's
just narcissism.

What ever will we do for laughs when Krause kicks the bucket.

With your afib, cancer, busted out joints, and mental illnesses, the
odds are you will predecease me, bozo. That will be a day of celebration
in your household, I'll bet.

Unfortunately the history of unmoderated Usenet groups would suggest
that he will be replaced by some other loony tune that is equally
obnoxious. I'd just like to see him pay his taxes first.

Nah. Krause is going to leave this world owing.

Funny how the lack of "calibration" always favors the Democrat. Sound more like they received special calibration.

I think that anyone who believes that voter fraud does not occur at all is living in a fantasy world. It does happen, the scale of voter fraud is definitely open to interpretation.

It must have something to do with the liberal mindset. They are criminals and love criminal activity to applauding their own, whilst involved in crimes.

Ruehlman said. "It's about criminal activity. You are a criminal."

That was only eight months ago. For some reason, she has already been released. At an event that was all about voting law, Ohio Democrats invited a person guilty of multiple counts of voter fraud to speak - to "welcome her back" and applaud her. They invited her up to the stage, like some sort of hero.
Democrats seem to oppose any changes in the law that make it harder to cheat. Their embrace of Melowese Richardson shows where their intentions actually lie.

Marion Barry is a prime example of that. Of course, that's a racist
comment, as was your article.

Voter fraud usually disappears down into the noise of an election. In
a blowout election, who cares if 0.01% of the vote was bogus but if an
election is as close as Bush v Gore, 0.01% was the margin in Florida
with over 60 votes to spare.

In a local election, a few hundred votes can flip many of the races.

I believe the case in Georgia involving 40,000+ "missing" voter
registrations is still unresolved. It went before a judge, and there are
several complicated issue. If it turns out the 40,000 registrations were
mysteriously lost or left unprocessed by the state's Republican
government, it will be by far the biggest documented case of election
fraud in recent history.

In our lifetime, perhaps, Texas will turn blue. That will be the end of
the Republican-Conservative-Tea Party Party as it exists today.
