My MP from here was just interviewed by phone from Parliament.
She was in a meeting when a security guard burst into the room and barricaded the door with his body.
My MP and her co-parliamentarians helped push chairs and whatever else against the doors before lying low.
They heard the gun battle out in the hall.
Scary stuff for a local gal raised in peaceful Halifax.
We have a fairly high percentage of military here in this province..so this is quite a concern.
