Some interesting Statistics.

Top 10 Hourly Wage Equivalent Welfare States in U.S.

State Hourly Wage Equivalent

Alaska $15.48
Massachusetts $14.66
Connecticut $14.23
Washington, D.C. $13.99
New York $13.13
New Jersey $12.55
Rhode Island $12.55
California $11.59
Virginia $11.11

A few of those are more than my wife and I earn working for our money.

Mikek

Well, you could always sell the shrimp shack, go to work for Costco, and
double your family income.

Costco pays $30.00 an Hr?
Besides, about 2-1/2 years and I'm retiring, I'll start spending my
savings. Actually, my wife's says she is going to keep working, so
I'll probably sponge of her till I'm 66y and 3mo.

But the point is, welfare can be a damn good living, of course with
all that free time you might spend more money.

If each of you worked at Costco, you could make more than $30 an hour as
a couple.

Welfare is a crappy living.

As usual you miss the point. Why would you go get that Costco job if
you can make more sitting on the couch smoking dope.

Because he's not PsychoSnotty?

Oh, great, another ignorant asshole referencing "world nutcase daily."

Name calling rather than being able to refute the argument.

Mikek

World NutCase Daily is a birther, teabagger, conspiracy drenched site
for mindless right-wingers, a site with even less credibility than Fox
News, hard as that is to imagine. If you read and believe that site, it
is no wonder you are so ****ed in the head.

The ironic thing is the article advances the same basic opinion you
gave us in the other thread about Israel ... along with Scottie.

You see what strange bedfellows this issue makes?

You are a neocon now. Is that a Cheney sticker on your bumper?

Nonsense.

I'm very surprised, I didn't know they paid that well!

Only if both are managers.

Here they pay in excess of $15 an hour for regular workers. So couple
would make in excess of $30 an hour.

According to glassdoor the average for associates is more like $11 and
you don't break the $15 barrier until you are some kind of supervisor.
California may be the exception, along with Hawaii, Alaska and parts
of New York.,

McD's pays $10.50 to start most urban places in California. And seems as
if the Mexican's they are able to hire, as they work, also can do math
better than the American kids.

Nonsense.

You are demonstrating the first step of your grief about being a
neocon.
(the Kübler-Ross model)
Denial.

I admit anger is a constant state with you and you seem depressed most
of the time. Your acceptance of Hillary put you firmly in the neocon
column. You are just missing "bargaining" but that may be the bargain
with the devil you made to join the gang.

You're hysterical. You support the destruction of Israel, so that must
make you what, a member of HAMAS and card-carrying member of the KKK?

Hillary never found a middle east war she didn't like.

That's not true and even it it were, I'd still vote for Hillary over any
of the announced or flirting with announcement GOP 2016 wannabes.
The ones that aren't bat**** crazy will only further destroy what little
remains of our social compact.

I see there's talk of retreading Romney.

In article ,
says...

That's okay if she pushes for single-payer health care.
By hook or by crook.
