On the ICW (Intra Coastal Waterway). We'd hoped that conditions would
be favorable for running outside on a straight line to Charleston,
South Carolina but it looks like we'll have to wait for the wind to
lighten up a bit - maybe later in the week on Tuesday or Wednesday.

If you'll be in Solomon's, let me know. We're going to be down there for a good part of July.

I'll let you know. We'll be passing through the Chesapeake in an
other week or two. Do you have any favorite restaurants there?

The locals talk about Jerry's Seafood http://www.jerrys-place.com/ but it's about twenty miles north
of Solomons. We don't go out to eat much when we're down there. We've eaten at the Ruddy Duck
http://www.ruddyduckbrewery.com/ which is much closer and pretty good. We've also eaten at the
Stoney's in Solomon's, but were not happy with the food or the prices.

We won't be getting back down there until June 30, for the July 4th weekend, but I might could be
enticed to take a motorcycle ride down there to see a pretty boat!

Have you ever tried the C D Cafe? It's right on the main street.
We've had a couple of decent meals there in the past.

Nope, sure haven't. We're going down for about a week over 4 July, maybe we'll get a chance then.

Yeah, I looked at some reviews after you mentioned it. Great reviews. Will definitely give it a shot
next time we're down there. I couldn't find a menu link, but I didn't look too hard.

Thanks for the tip.

C D's is okay, no better, but for Solomons, that makes it pretty decent.
Most of the restaurants in that immediate area are either lousy or more
into booze sales than food sales. The Ruddy Duck is one of those, with
mediocre food and it is noisy. Several of the really good restaurants
that used to be in Solomons have either closed or changed owners and
then changed themselves and are no longer very good. There's a Chinese
restaurant across from the Navy rec center that is or was pretty good
for Southern Maryland, but that only makes it average, and it is
overpriced. Stoney's is way way overpriced at all of its locations.

Jerry's Place is the best bet for first-rate seafood on this side of
Southern Maryland, but it's not for a carless boater visiting Solomons.
Jerry is open on Sunday afternoons now, but closed on Mondays. Sometimes
Jerry's has full-belly clams. Jerry himself is a trip, and so is his
son. Never had anything less than a first-class meal at Jerry's, and we
go frequently. The "specials" are worth ordering.
