Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi. I am old enough to remember "Watergate Watergate Watergate" and nobody died there. A gang of Cubans broke into an office and nothing was reported stolen. Invalid comparison. Yeah, Benghazi was far more serious, people died. Sorry. Nixon was involved in a criminal coverup and maybe worse. It is always the coverup isn't it. Nixon was pushed out over a coverup, Clinton was impeached because of a coverup and we are still waiting to see what happens with this coverup. It took almost 2 years to get to the truth with Nixon and they had tapes of everything. Nobody tapes much these days so we are left with trying to reconstruct deleted Emails. Nixon's was a sad presidency. He was a good president, he was smart, he was capable, and he got some things done that needed doing. He was conservative, but not crazy conservative like so many of today's Republicans. He was a truly tragic figure. As was Clinton. Crazy for Monika. How'd he get caught, by the way? |
