I saw that. Thanks Tim. When I win it I'll record my strumming and
send you a .mp3. :-)

Meanwhile, check out the Heritage H525 on the website. That's one of my
guitars (along with the Polytone amp). I finally decided that I don't
have enough time left on this planet to learn jazz chord melodies so I
may as well sell it and stick to strumming my Tele and Strat.

That heritage is a fine guitar. I have a poly tone mini brute exactly like yours. It was once owned by Carol Kaye, it's a better guitar than bass amp but for low volume it does fairly well.

True jazz players typically use something much smaller. The last
concert we had included a jazz guitar player who plays with the Boston
Pops. His amp was a little thing, about 12" by 12" by 4". Class A, 5
watts with simple, on/off and volume controls. Obviously we mic'd it
through the mixing board to go through the PA system.

Short clip, but I love the sound of his guitar ...

Great clip! I know what you mean by small amps. There's a local here that played through some customade amp that he calls a 'lunch box'. Very clean for only about 15w

Almost completely off this topic, but I read the other day that the rock band AC/DC's founder Malcolm Young is in bad health, and the band will likely never return. Part of the article related how he really was the controlling force in the band, and one thing he did is to turn down the volume of the guitar amps and mic them really up close. He wanted listeners to be able to hear the clear notes instead of the distorted fuzz that many band prefer.

I wish you guys would riff a few chords down this way once in a while.

You'd be pretty disappointed with me Wayne. On guitar I am only good
for playing rhythm and I am not great at that.

It is said that a minimum of 10,000 hours of practice is required to
become proficient on the guitar, doing scales until they become finger
muscle memory. Then you have to start working on what the right hand is
doing. I probably have a total of five hundred hours. Running out of
time. :-)

No competition for the great Croatian, Ana, eh? Great tremolo.
