That heritage is a fine guitar. I have a poly tone mini brute exactly like yours. It was once owned by Carol Kaye, it's a better guitar than bass amp but for low volume it does fairly well.

True jazz players typically use something much smaller. The last

concert we had included a jazz guitar player who plays with the Boston

Pops. His amp was a little thing, about 12" by 12" by 4". Class A, 5

watts with simple, on/off and volume controls. Obviously we mic'd it

through the mixing board to go through the PA system.

Short clip, but I love the sound of his guitar ...

Almost completely off this topic, but I read the other day that the rock band AC/DC's founder Malcolm Young is in bad health, and the band will likely never return. Part of the article related how he really was the controlling force in the band, and one thing he did is to turn down the volume of the guitar amps and mic them really up close. He wanted listeners to be able to hear the clear notes instead of the distorted fuzz that many band prefer.

I'd say yes to about all the above. Don't know for a fact but have 'heard' that Malcomeay be suffering from dementia. I'm sure there is that possibility.

Thing I read said he had a stroke, and it left him with some issues and the inability to perform musically. He just can't play anymore.

Too bad. I saw them in the late '70s in a fairly small venue when Bon Scott was still alive. Scott put Angus on his shoulders and walked him out through the audience during a guitar solo. They passed right in front of me.

They definitely put on a high energy show.

Great clip! I know what you mean by small amps. There's a local here
that played through some customade amp that he calls a 'lunch box'.
Very clean for only about 15w

Can you use it to start your outboard?

I play my guitar on the boat. Boating related.

I turn on the radio on my boat and listen to somebody else play their guitar(s). It's safer for me as well as my company:)

Strokes are unforgiving. That's what happened to Barney Kessel. Sad demise for one of the greatest be-bop jazz guitarists known.

Great playing and a beautiful woman.

Thanks for sharing.

It's hard to believe that she has enough strength in those long,
skinny fingers to play like that.
