You'd deny he said it even if you originally reported in the Kansas
Star that he *did*. The statement has been (and remains) directly
quoted in many different sources. What one *cannot* find anywhere
is a report that he never said it, nor what he meant by it. You
claim never to have seen a cite that definitively proves Jackson
said any such thing, yet you previously tried to explain away what
he meant by it. If he never said it, why do you need to explain
it?

One of the problems in our society is that racism exists and it
originates from all sides and people, whites, blacks, brown,
yellow, whatever. Unfortunately a few (including Jesse Jackson
and Al Sharpton) have made the issues of racial relationships and
conflicts a means of making a very good living. That's what they
do.

No person or entity in politics has had more success being racist
than the Republican Party since the mid-1960s. About all the GOP has
these days is racism and hatred and division.

That is so wrong, that it is a lie. Stop lying.

It is absolutely correct.

Don't go there Mike.

Ya, my minority wife might not like it.

But it is OK if Jesse Jackson goes there.

Jesse Jackson

I understand politically correctness. It sucks.

We all read the news and it's a bad story, but

no one can predict how it might have turned out in different

Agreed.

Mikek

I am surprised Krause didn't comment on Jesse's racist remark.

I was wondering which of the racist morons here would pile on. You

fellas apparently are not aware that the quote you are attributing to

Jackson isn't one that describes *his* feelings, but one used to

describe how he thinks "white people" feel when they hear footsteps

behind them.

Right-wing media outlets have bandied about that quote for decades, and

out of context, of course.

Next?

Bull****. The entire quote is:

"We must face the No. 1 critical issue of our day. It is youth crime in general and black-on-black crime in particular. There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved. After all we have been through, just to think we can't walk down our own streets, how humiliating."

Seriously harry, have you ever thought of writing and publishing a book of fictional short stories? You sure write enough of it here. Hell man, if it sold well you could pay off all those debts and taxes!

Most likely Krause will not respond to getting caught in another lie.

It is fun sometimes however to see how creatively he can rope-a-dope.

The usual smug republicans in denial. Nothing else is new.

Rope-a-Dope !

Please. In the last few days, *your* political party nationally and in
various states has taken measures to restrict voting, to not extend
unemployment compensation, to deny equal pay for equal work, and in the
Ryan budget that passed the House today, further slice what remains of
the social safety network in order to give more tax breaks to the
wealthy. All of those moves, every one of them, impact the poor and
minorities negatively. Smug Republicans in denial.

Why should we extend unemployment? Isn't two years enough for someone to
learn a new job? Why not restrict voting to those legal to vote in an
election. Person moved 2 years ago, to another district, why should it not
be questioned when he wants to vote in a local election? An local election
that does not concern them. Why should a person in Chicago or anyplace
else get to vote each year for 75 years after they died? We, as a nation
are broke! Why should we not change welfare, when it seems to not improved
the nation in 75 years? When we are on the 6 or 7th generation of welfare
family, even a concrete brain like yours has to admit, IT AIN'T WORKING.
The poor pay no IRS taxes! why give them a break? Look at dividend income
from 2014 on. Max tax rate from IRS, 35%. But that money was already
taxed at 38% corporate tax rate. Seems as if removes incentive to invest
for long term, or even to pay dividends. Kills those 401K and pension
funds even more. Why are we borrowing 47cents of every dollar the Federal
Government spends. Seems even worse since the modern Dem's are in control
of the Executive branch. We better change something, as what we are doing
now AIN'T work'n.

Well said. I'm sure Krause has no response, except some more ropeadope.
