Of what?

Discussions about hobbies, recreational activities, RV'ing and whatnot
have a lot more in common with recreational boating than five times a
day cut and paste posts of obscure political issues or bitching about a
religious group's beliefs.

The newsgroup is called "rec" boats, after all.

Now you are defining what a hobby is or isn't? A hobby can be a favorite
occupation or topic, pursued for the amusement or interest it affords.
That definition includes all topics, eh?

But not to worry. You righties have managed over the years to chase out
almost all of those who don't share your political view, but for two or
maybe three of us. I'm sure in the not-to-distant future you'll be
discussing quilting and stamp collecting.

Oh. Model airplanes, RV'ing, and "what not" have very little to do with
recreational boating. They are just "other" hobbies. DiscussingI ad an opportunity to fly it
political issues may also be a hobby.

Ten you should subscribe to rec.hobby.politics. You are such a douche bag.

This RC stuff is cool. Might have to do one of these next:

I've been busy with other stuff but U really want to spend some more
time with my quad to get proficient with it. I had an opportunity to fly
it in a friends pasture a few weeks ago. It got 4 or 5 hundred feet in
the air and about 300 feet down range before I lost control. That was a
lot more than I thought it was capable of. I also have a V911 that'll be
a hoot to fly when............

Are you talking to me, or Luddite? I've never spent any time with your quad. Did you lose control
because it was out of range or what? I've yet to see anything that tells me the range of my
transmitter. I know I'm supposed to do a 'range check', but that's only 90'.

Perhaps because I think it humorous that proponents of beliefs that have
no science behind them want those beliefs discussed on a science-based
television series.

Maybe you should ask your fellow creationists why they want "equal time"
on a television based on science.

Tim, I'm giving some serious thought to getting one of these 'kit' planes and trying to build one
myself. Motors and all the electronics have to be added, but I think much of it can be found used. I
met a guy today who had a whole car full of airplane stuff. He's into jets. Very cool. He was flying
one of these. Fast. Very maneuverable. Electric motor powered.

The RC stuff out there today is unreal.
