Dear Old Man Winter,

I'm writing to you today because of your attitude, I believe you have
just a bit too clingy and cranky. Your hanging around has been making
many others here quite uncomfortable, and even depressed in some cases.
It is time for you to retire and make room for new growth. We will be
holding a retirement party for you on March 20th so please be sure to
have tied up any loose ends .. we are hoping to avoid your hanging
around being disgruntled and effecting our flow of progression after
that date. Actually, it might be best for everyone if you discontinue
reporting for duties as of March 9th since Mr. Sun E. Day will be
resuming his extended hours. I hear he is anxious to spring ahead with
some new ideas and goals for us all, and honestly, I think the change
will be good for everyone. Just to let you know, since seasonal
opportunities to arise from time to time we may be willing to have you
return on a temporary or trial basis, we'll keep in touch. One last
thing, if you choose to not be present for your retirement party we
completely understand and will hold no grudge.

Sincerely,
Mother Nature
