I remember reading a couple of years ago that some Apple computers at Apple itself were hacked by outsiders. Note that I used the word "myth". Some Apple lovers still think their devices or computers are "hack proof" (like my daughter). I am in the process of updated my iPad with the patch as I type (on a Windows machine) :-) What is more interesting is this comment: "The patch has only been issued for the more recent iPhones (4 and later), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad (2nd generation). Security researchers across several communities believe that Mac computers are even more exposed, as they are currently left hanging without a patch." source: http://www.zdnet.com/major-apple-security-flaw-patch-issued-users-open-to-mitm-attacks-7000026624/ I suspect the patch for OS X will be out very shortly. |
