Be honest now... this is the second time I have asked this directly, answer, or dodge again... it's up to you. Loogy, I clearly stated, "Keep on trying, Scotty!" At least you are honest... And you are the one who spent a month asking don a question.. I asked you a clear question twice now and you refuse to answer... that tells us all we needed to know... Who's 'we', Kemo Sabe, you seem to be riding pretty much solo. Keep on trying! Why won't you answer the question John? |

Be honest now... this is the second time I have asked this directly, answer, or dodge again... it's up to you. You should continue to go in a circle with no hands. I'm starting to wonder if Scotty and Loogy are one person with multiple personalities. Yeah, one clear question and I asked it twice.. but I can see why nobody will answer it. It has been answered many, many times. Scott. Anytime you see the front wheel turned radically in the *direction* of the turn ... like the guy riding slowly in circles with no hands ... or one of your pictures of a dirt bike in a slide with the front wheel turned radically in the direction of the slide is *NOT* counter-steering. By definition and simple word association "counter" means "in the opposite" or "against" the norm. |

I don't recall saying going slowly in a circle with no hands will put you on the pavement, although it will if you are not skilled. I know that can be done. There is no gyroscopic precession forces being generated (or not enough to straighten the bike up) at that speed. But again, it's *not* counter steering. It's simply balancing your speed to the angle of the front wheel and maintaining it. Once you accept that fact that you are erroneously using the term "counter-steering" when applying it to steering or turning the front wheel in the direction of the turn, we'll start making some progress in your rehabilitation. |

Yup, determined that yesterday when I realized it was relative to the gyroscopic plane developed by the rotation.. guess that just went over your head, but you sure do cut and paste well... Once you accept that fact that you are erroneously using the term "counter-steering" when applying it to steering or turning the front wheel in the direction of the turn, we'll start making some progress in your rehabilitation. Again, explained that was simply miscommunication, and just another excuse... like mocking, and giving wrong answers like suggesting you can't take a bike in a circle with no hands. and yes, you and hank were clear about that.... |
