It's not as if there is much boating content to pay close attention to.
Now, if you are fixated on handguns, minibike racing and cornering, golfing, camping etc, better perk up.

It's very difficult to be 'fixated' on so many different activities!

You should really add photography, airplanes, guitars, computers, pets, recipes, psychology, et al
to your list of 'fixations'.

Oh,and by all means, don't forget agnosticism, politics, and especially anti-religion to that
'fixation' list.

Hope you paid attention!

Heh. There's also an obsession with fruit! The PC kind.

You could write a book on Johnny's obsessions.
They change by the hour and the day. In the good old days they might have called that behaviour 'flakey'.

To whom are you responding?

Actually, it's not good to have all your attention devoted to one thing. That's called a 'fixation'.
You're much better being well rounded. I guess, up there, you folks call it 'flaky'.

Did I say that? No. What I said was that Wayne has with his daily
personal insults reduced himself to a more educated version of
Slammer. That's why I shoved him into the dumpster. I for the most
part have refrained since the beginning of the year from
personally
insulting other posters here. Wayne has not, Hank has not, Slammer
has
not, and a couple of others have not.
A true professional would have written: "I, for the most part,
have...". You chose to not highlight the "for the most part"
point in
your post. It's obvious why you took that path.

His punctuation is horrible, doncha think?

But he is a world class writer and editor - in his own mind. It's
interesting the way some people can weave together such a complex
fantasy world and utterly believe it.

Oh Wayne, be nice. We just went through Valentine's Day, a day to
bestow love, hugs, and kisses.

Besides, it's his cut'n'pastin' that earns the award.

Americans who are poorly educated or sloppy in the use of English tend
to overuse commas.

I, overuse commas, all the, time.

I don't pay much attention to my own spelling or grammar here since
after all it is just rec.boats. I pay even less attention to spelling
or grammar here when I post with my cell phone.

Francis Bacon, the lesser known brother of the fellow who invented the
popular breakfast meat (ha!), used the phrase exactly as I did, sans
commas, in his Novum Organum. Bacon was a tad more formally
edu-ma-cated in his native language than your two right-wing buddies
here.

Posting here with a phone? Really? Go pay your taxes. We need our
money back.

That has, on several occasions, been the subject of observation and
comment.

Is it your presumption that rec.boats is worth paying close attention?

*You* post with a phone, bozo!
