Well then I got it confused. Either way, all of the pics I just posted
clearly show bikes turning in the direction the front tire is turned...

The technique causes the motorcycle to lean, and then steer, in the
intended direction. In some of those racing photos they are likely in a
curve in a hard braking situation. The discussion seems to be centered
on recreational riding on asphalt - not racing or off-road riding.
