Default New Printer

I am all proud of myself. I just installed a new printer via our home
Wi-Fi network and was actually able to get both the Windows laptops
(Vista and Win7) and the iMac to print to it over the network. I didn't
bother with the CD that came with it ... just downloaded the drivers and
utilities from the manufacturer's website. (the owner's manual said to
use either method)

This is a major accomplishment for me, maybe not so much for you guys
that do this all the time.

No more USB wires and I can put the printer in another room.

My new printer is still sitting in the box. I keep telling myself it's so I can use up the rest of
the ink in the old machine. But...maybe it's just fear.

Would you equate this with your first experience as a teenaged boy being
able to unhook a bra one handed?

No, the Wi-Fi setup was easier and cheaper.

USB printers are definitely tougher to install. You need to plug in the
USB cable And wait for the computer to set it all up. Wireless printers
don't need any human intervention.
