Pretty heavy establishment bashing going on in Heaven today... RIP Pete,
wish I could see you and Woodie back together again on that great stage
in the sky

Yup. He was a legend.



I saw him in 1975 at the now gone, Music Inn, in Lenox Mass with Arlo.
Lots of great stories from that day but the one thing I remember
distinctly was when Arlo came out to do Amazing Grace. Pete came out on
stage and sat down in front of him and just stared. It was as if you
could tell he was watching Woody sing that song, that day...

We saw Pete sing at South Street Seaport back in the 70s. He was a
big supporter of the Hudson River environmental clean up movement. He
had a magnificent big old wooden sloop called the Clearwater that we
used to sometimes see out on the river or Long Island Sound.
